The theme of the PCS float and its contingent was to “Thank the Farmers on this Thanksgiving Day” because they work so hard in the fields to grow food to feed the world. PCS participants worked the crowd and the spectators loved Punjabi Bhangra music blast and live Punjabi Dhol drum. Many clapped and screamed in ecstasy and danced Bhangra to enjoy the moment.
Hari Das was an enigma. Every day, she dealt with life’s darkest, heaviest burdens. She was the lifeline for many, yet she remained light-hearted and quick to laugh, as if she were in on the secret behind life.
Bhajneet Singh wrote this empowering story with his own family in mind. A turbaned Sikh and avid surfer, Bhajneet’s love for the ocean and nature is captured in the verses of this beautiful book and it’s stunning illustrations. He hopes that future generations will be able to enjoy the bounty and beauty of the Earth, and that this story will inspire kids to protect it.
‘Journey of the Mind’ Sikh Art Exhibition: An Exclusive Review
This space was created for contemplation, a place for art and stories of greatness to be understood through the words of the community and volunteers visiting ‘Without Shape Without Form’. Furthermore, our touring exhibition ‘Journey of the Mind’ will display paintings and handmade drawings by Canadian artist Kanwar Singh and short films by British animator Christian Wood which illustrate the stories of those who had attained the highest spiritual levels, which gave them clarity and foresight to see all as one.

Journey of the Mind explores the texts of the Sikh teachers and how, through these, the journey to understand the mind begins. And how the mind battles against negative forces within, to find peace in troubled times through focused practice, community and selfless service.
Singh Hikers is a group that has been actively hiking peaks in southern California for the last 6 months. They have hiked all the major 6 peaks in the area, the highest being 'San Gorgonio' standing tall at 11,500 ft elevation. The group comprises doctors, engineers, technology executives, and businessmen from southern California.
The Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett attended and was warmly greeted the Hoosier Sikhs at the annual "Nagar Keetan: Sikh Parade Festival" at the Veterans Memorial Plaza in Downtown Indianapolis.
Langgar in many Gurdwaras today feeds the well-fed, is sometimes catered by an outside group and we see different foods being served to different groups. The needy are often those outside the Gurdwara location and they may like a different type of food than the ones we prefer.
