The 67th annual Talbot Street Art Fair, one of the oldest and largest outdoor Art Fairs in the USA, favored by the two days of pleasant Indiana weather drew an enthusiastic multi-generational and multicultural crowd of art patrons and many friends over the weekend (June 17th-June 18th).
Here are a few highlights of this people-friendly 2023 Art Fair:
More than 250 artists and crafts-persons from across the country displayed a rich diversity of their unique creations in several medias at the Talbot Street Art Fair this year. The Fair took place on the streets of the historic Herron-Morton Neighborhood where the old buildings with a lot of character have been undergoing restoration and facelift for the past several decades.
Talbot Street Art Fair (TSAF) now in its seventh decade, has grown in size and stature by attracting quality and accomplished artists, and with its welcome spirit. An estimated 60,000 art patrons and friends from many nationalities, cultures, professions, and communities visited the Art Fair. For many Hoosiers, the TSAF is a must, a favorite annual cultural attraction and destination.
This popular and established Art Fair offers an opportunity to enjoy the fine and creative art displays, meet friends, and celebrate the vision of the founders of the Talbot Street Art Fair: To bring the arts to people in a friendly outdoor setting.
Talbot Street Art Fair promotes arts education and is dedicated to the celebration of the arts and talented artists. At the 2023 TSAF, the TSAF organization distributed $7,500 in Awards to the artists - for the best work in various categories and medias.
Amidst the rich diversity of artworks, the Indiana artist KP Singh was exhibiting his finely-executed Pen and Ink drawings and prints ( KP Singh Designs) of architectural landmarks in Indiana and a few select prints of historic sites in USA, India, and Europe for the 51st time in this family-friendly and no-admission-fee Art Fair.
Every year, it is a special pleasure to welcome many friends who have followed my artwork and advocacy of the place and arts and cultures over my nearly 56 years as a proud Hoosier-American.
Kind headlines and thoughtful tributes from so many:

A Prayerful Reflection about the Arts, Cultures, and Community:
The Talbot Street Art Fair, Penrod Arts Fair, Asian Fest, International Festival, and other major arts and cultural events provide a valuable public service. They represent special assets and wonderful attractions in our Capital City and the State of Indiana. As such they bring an old-world charm of ancient Bazaars - Chandni Chowk-Old Delhi and Istanbul-Turkey to new settings, the vital energy of new pioneers in new times and places; and a vibrant cultural renaissance to our neighborhood.
Seeing our great and timeless arts in a new light: The arts mirror our very being and connect our thoughts to yesterday's heritage and cultural horizons and they carry the images, message, and power to lead us to tomorrow's anticipated calls. The amazing fine and live arts - music, dance, culture, literature, architecture, theater, and other art forms, explore our thought, spotlight our creative urges and responses, tease our imagination and transport our spirit to new possibilities, and contribute to our economies. What value and investments are we willing to make to make sure that our arts survive and thrive; continue to embellish our mind and spirit with their beauty and breathtaking power to uplift and ignite our promise and imagination to greater purpose - filled with a joyful spirit that the arts radiate!!!
