On May 25th, celebrate the launch of a remarkable CD, a unique collection of Shabads, written under the spell of Partaal, a poetic style, which requires each Pada of the Shabad to be sung in a different rhythm. This musical concept reflects the natural need and occurrence for changes within the pulse of our life and is unique to Sikh Music, as Guru Ram Das Ji himself created it. Due to its nature of constant change, it  strongly enhances the impact of the Shabad on the human psyche.

The celebration will begin at 1 pm on Sunday, 25th of May at Gurdwara Siri Guru Singh Sabha, on Park Avenue, Southall. It will start with authentic Kirtan, performed by Professor Surinder Singh and his senior students, singing Shabads, which will also be found on the new CD. After the Kirtan  a press conference will take place, during which many important community leaders will hold speeches, before the CD will be officially launched by the Vice Chancellor of Thames Valley University.

As this CD is completely unique, covering a style of Kirtan, which has never before been played and recorded with all six Sikh Instruments, the event will be attract many; furthermore, people of name and status across the UK have been invited.
