This month we continue our exploration of the six-volume collection Diamonds of Eternity: Gurbani Classics, In the fourth volume of the series we feature Bhai Harbhans Singh Ji, who was an exceptional vocalist and an outstanding katha (discourse) performer and harmonium player.

Bhai Harbans Singh performed kirtan and katha for many decades with his jatha and also as a member of the Atamras Jatha enlightening Guru-ki-sangat in India and many other parts of the world. He has produced hundreds of cassette tapes, CDs and videos of Kirtan and Katha.

He and his jatha played a mix of both Classical Raag and Modern Raag based tunes. He was renowned for explaining the meaning of Gurbani in simple everyday terms.

It is our honor to feature the slow and mellow style of Bhai Harbhans Singh in this volume and to continue to share the joy of these Gurbani Shabads.

To preserve this legacy, countless hours were spent going through the cardboard boxes of cassettes from live recordings which had been stored away for almost 50 years, and were often unlabelled. This collection was then lovingly and beautifully restored for your enjoyment.
