John Sherman "JuJu" Smith-Schuster is an NFL wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 24 year old athlete boasts an impressive career with several league records and is known as one of the most marketable players.

Recently he garnered international acclaim for a different reason: his charitable support to help protesters across the world in the streets of Delhi. The recent exposure of the farmers protest, largely composed of Punjabi Sikh farmers, has highlighted abuse of power from the state as well as the general plight of the protesters many of whom have passed away from the cold.

Not only has he brought awareness about the plight of the farmers to his 1million+ twitter followers, his $10,000 will surely be welcome to the charity organizations like Khalsa Aid at protests sites.
Impressive amenities have already been provided but any loss of life due to harsh conditions is not something that anyone in the modern world, regardless of nationality or affiliation, should want to tolerate.
Indeed the UN has taken notice of the humanitarian issues, with many reports of abuse from authorities, going on in this largest protest in history.

In his tweet Juju copied an article from Reuters titled 'Indian Farmers Vow to Carry on Protests Despite Cold, Deaths' states:

Since late November, when thousands of farmers arrived in trucks and tractors to camp out on the borders of New Delhi, nearly 30 people have died, several of them as a result of freezing weather, farmers said...As temperatures dropped, one of the main protest sites turned into a sea of small tents and tarpaulin-covered tractor trolleys. But some demonstrators have to spend the night sleeping in the open air.

'Sarbat Da Bhala' is a universal value. Our Guru's taught to recognize the whole human race as one. Surely Juju will find that he has gained a new family.
