Will you support SikhNet today?

In this modern world there are many people living in pain and confusion. Your donation to SikhNet helps spread the light to people around the world. Let us first remember the story of Guru Hargobind and his imprisonment in the Gwalior fort:

Bandi Chhor Divas is the day we celebrate the freeing of the Guru and 52 hill chiefs. When Guru Hargobind was imprisoned in Gwalior fort, the hill Rajas were also imprisoned and taken away from their kingdoms. Imagine how being freed by the Guru might have impacted their lives. When they returned to their kingdoms, they had the light of the Guru with them. The Guru taught the kings when they were imprisoned together. By His grace and consciousness, he helped free them. Guru Hargobind touched their lives and impacted each of them in some way.

This is how the Guru's light spreads. How did those kings change? What did they do differently after that? When Guru ji returned to the Akal Takht, and Harmandar Sahib, a celebration began that has continued every year since. This year, let us also remember those kings and what they went through because the Guru changed their lives forever.

In today’s age, we have a similar situation. There are so many problems we are bombarded with. How do we spread the light of the Guru to those around us? One thing is for sure - before we can spread the light, we have to become it ourselves. We want to be good and do good, but how do we get the light?

That is where SikhNet comes in.

SikhNet strives to provide exceptional inspirational services to anyone in the world FOR FREE. Your donations are the source. They create a positive impact in so many people's lives. Your generosity funds SikhNet's Daily News, the SikhNet Gurbani Media Center, the Daily Hukamnama, the Sikhnet Inspirations video series, content for Sikh youth, and much more. These services aren't easy to produce but they have proven to be a source of inspiration to people around the world. We hear from people all the time that SikhNet is a critical spark of light in their lives. SikhNet is their virtual Gurdwara.

Great is Guru Hargobind, the spreader of the light. Share your prayers. Donate your resources. Participate in the cyber-sangat in a meaningful way. Be a king!

On behalf of the SikhNet Team,
HAPPY BANDI CHHOR DIVAS
