As the season of monsoon arrives and the rains pour
down from the heavens above, the sounds of raag
Malhar reaches our ears from gurdwaras all across
the world. This is a shabad, from the Gurbani, in raag
Miyaan Ki Malhaar, which brings out the essence of
this season.
English Translation: The month of saawan has come,
0 my companions;
the clouds have burst forth with rain
O Nanak,
the blessed soul-brides
sleep in peace;
they are in love
with their husbands, Lord.
