SikhsPAC Chairman Gurinder Singh Khalsa visited Argentina with US Trade and Investor Mission
Huge potential for Punjabi farming community of India in the growing agro-industry’s of Argentina… Gurinder Singh Khalsa
INDIANAPOLIS – Gurinder Singh Khalsa, chairman of SikhsPAC representing SikhsUSA, traveled to Argentina for the first Trade & Investment Mission by Argentine provinces La Rioja and San Juan on March 20 to 28, 2018. Located in the Northwestern region of Argentina, La Rioja and San Juan provinces welcomed key U.S. firms to discover their untapped market and business potential.
During Gurinder Singh Khalsa’s visit to the provinces, he had the opportunity to meet with the state Governor of La Rioja Governor Sergio Casas and San Juan Governor Sergio Uñac, in addition to more than 200 entrepreneurs who are willing to invest in joint ventures. During that time the Government of these two states communicated their willingness to provide free land to potential investors. “This is great opportunity to Punjabi farmers, especially for the youth of Punjab who should take this opportunity to tap into one of the fastest growing Agro-based industries of the world; especially in the states of San Juan, La Rioja, Cordoba and Mendoza,” said Khalsa. Khalsa further stated, “ The people of Argentina are very open, welcoming and kind hearting.”
La Rioja province offers business and investment opportunities in key sectors including wine, olives and olive oil (organic and traditional), walnuts, cattle, renewable energy, textiles and plastics manufacturing, eco and experiential travel and tourism.
San Juan province offers business and investment opportunities in key sectors including sustainable mining (gold, silver, copper, hydrocarbons, travertine, dolomite, calcite and magnesium sulfite), renewable energy, wine, olives and olive oil, pistachios, tomatoes, melons, eco and experiential travel and tourism, processing plants, infrastructure development and technology services.
