How I Combat Negativity With The Teachings of My Gurus
It was a very busy month… I was actively managing a team and preparing for an upcoming event, I was managing another task whose promotion ate up 80% of my time, had upcoming exams, juggling projects and things were simply NOT going my way. I was extremely frustrated and tired at the end of every single day. I woke up to a blank and confused state and just let the day take its toll over me. I was consumed beyond my capacity that I couldn’t take on anymore… But, I had two options, either drop everything and waste all my efforts or, I could redouble my efforts and make it a success. An inner feeling was nagging me all the time that I needed to find an inner peace in the conflict I was facing…
“Jo kal ko eik bar dhiaai hai ta kai kal nikti neh aai hai.
Rachcha hoeh taeh sabh kala dust arist train tatkala”
“Those who meditate even once on You, the Supreme Destroyer, the Death cannot come near them. They remain protected at all times. All their enemies and sorrows are removed instantaneously”
Remembering the phrase from Choupai Sahab, a personal favorite of mine from the hymns of our Gurbani, I left it on Him. He is the one and only protector who ferries you across the seas of difficulty, provides hope to the lost and protection from your enemies.
Believing and leaving it all to Him took off the shroud of uncertainty and negativity from my mind. Paath took me to a zone of trust and binding with Him, whose presence I only felt and believed in.
“Kirpa diristi tun jaeh nihriho ta kai tap tnak mo herho”
“Upon whosoever dawns Your Grace, their sins and afflictions are instantly removed. They are blessed with all the earthly and spiritual treasures”
If you are reading this, I strongly request you to trust in His grace, His presence and His Bani. He is the guide to your journey, may you find your path with His light.
