Help Us Build the Bhai Fauja Singh Clubhouse

Our patron is Fauja Singh the oldest marathon runner in the world.

We are a Sikh Running Club in London UK called 'Sikhs In The City' our patron is Fauja Singh the oldest marathon runner in the world. We are embarking on a project to build a ClubHouse in is honor and need funding to do this. The clubhouse will be used to raise awareness of physical activity and the positive impact this can have in the local community. The facilities will be used by everyone young and old and will be a lasting legacy of Fauja Singh's amazing achievements.   To honour Fauja Singh BEM, we at Sikhs In The City (SITC) Registered Charity No.1179621  have embarked on a project to build a multi-use eco-friendly Clubhouse in his name, which will be used by the local community to encourage health and well being.  We are now seeking financial support from everyone around the globe. The Local Authority – London Borough of Redbridge has agreed a 50 year renewable lease for a parcel of land alongside the route Fauja Singh used to train on to achieve his remarkable running records that have inspired people from all backgrounds all over the world.

When completed, the Clubhouse will comprise:

  • Male/Female/Disabled WC’s
  • Male/Female changing rooms with showers
  • A medical recovery room
  • An office/reception area
  • A Kitchenette
  • An open plan space for multi-use community activities ranging from seminars to Yoga
  • Storage and run training equipment in the roof space
  • Lifts to all floors including basement
Current estimates to complete all works and make the building ready for use is £425,000 

For comparison, the average price of a family home in the area is close to £500,000

 SITC wishes to complete this project by October 2021 if not sooner
