On 1st April 2017, Fauja Singh is turning 106 years old.
But do you know that millions of kids don’t live to see their 5th birthday? Every day, about 21,000 people die from hunger and hunger-related diseases and unfortunately, the majority are children. This is just not acceptable.
This year the living legend Fauja Singh, affectionately known as the ‘Turbaned Tornado’, has decided to celebrate his birthday in a different way.
HE’S ASKING YOU TO CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS HIS 106th BIRTHDAY LANGAR CAMPAIGN - and every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund Langar projects in Malawi. Zero Hunger with Langar will send out photos and 3D videos so you can see the exact communities you helped.
Fauja Singh’s target is to raise £10,600 - that’s over 70,000 meals for the needy children in Malawi.
The good news is that hunger is entirely solvable.
Unbelievably, in Malawi, it costs just 15p to serve one child for a whole day.
Please consider contributing towards Fauja Singh’s 106th birthday campaign and help make it his best birthday ever!
