Jammu, December 27 – Eminent poet, writer, scholar, and recipient of the Padma Shri and Sahitya Akademi Award, Dr. Jitendra Udhampuri, unveiled the Urdu book “Jammu Kashmir ke Sikhun ke Twarikhey Gurdwarey” authored by renowned historian and scholar Dr. Jasbir Singh Sarna. The event marked a significant contribution to the preservation of Sikh history and culture in the region of Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Udhampuri, a decorated public servant who retired as Deputy Director General of All India Radio, lauded the work, stating:

“‘Historical Gurdwaras in Jammu and Kashmir’ is a unique document on the Great Guru’s legacy. Reliable information is meticulously presented by a true student and scholar of Sikh history. The descriptions are so vivid and engaging that they bring the holy places and scriptures to life, offering a timeless message of love, unity, and devotion.” He further commended Dr. Sarna’s scholarly rigor, emphasizing the book’s invaluable contribution to studies on faith, identity, and heritage
