The Tour in Pictures

Colombia is a gorgeous country set on both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.  From the lush white beaches to the deep jungles and magnificent mountains, Colombia has diversity in life, culture, music and food.  Santa Fe de Bogota as the capital is known is a sprawling large metropolis nestled in between the mountains of the central north.  The Colombians themselves are as beautiful as their country.  Problems often highlighted by the news media do not reflect the generosity, sweetness, kindness, openness and beauty of its people. They are warm, gracious, super polite and very intelligent.

Kundalini Yoga is taught all over Bogota and is now starting to spread to the other major cities of Cartegena, Baranquilla, Cali and Medellin.  This is our fifth time to Colombia and we have been graced with a growing sangat and expansion of the teachings of Kundalini Yoga and Shabad Guru. The most important works that we do are focused on the National Police of Colombia as well as the Colombian school system in both the affluent and poor sections of society.  The dedication of the sangat to Langar Colombia as well as other seva projects is growing and the results are evident.

The following pictures with their captions will give you a greater insight into the work, expansion and events that were held in Colombia on this 6th Lord of Miracles Tour in Honor of Guru Ram Das.

The first class in Bogota was with the National Police of Colombia where their families also participated

A meditation class was held for more than 200 Colombian Police and their families because of the great stress that is also placed on a policemen’s family. During the first mediation, Dian Kaur and Guru Siimran Kaur [both from Colombia] demonstrate the meditation to an auditorium filled with 400 policemen while S.S. Gurubachan Singh Khalsa guides them.

Colegio Tilata in the outskirts of Bogota is the 2nd school in the world to offer Kundalini Yoga as part of its curriculum. From preschool to grade 12 the students practice every day in their brand new 300 square meter yoga room.

Amritpal Kaur captures the attention of some of the children after leading them in celestial communication.

S.S. Gurubachan Singh Khalsa receives the National Shield of honor by the Commandant General of the Metropolitan Police of Bogota. This has been given very rarely over the history of the Police force.
