Usually we blurt out whatever we are thinking and feeling, and it  feels good to be honest, and straight-forward. The question is: Are we reflecting before we speak?

=======================
Sagal Bolan Ke Mahi Bichar
In all speech, one must carefully consider.
=======================

Before you utter a single word, pause, think, reflect. Have some forward thinking. Think about what the effect of your words is going to be in the long term. If the effect is going to be negative, don't do it. Words are actions. Words are like arrows, once it's been released, it can't be taken back. Harsh words are remembered for years by the recipient.

Indian proverb: The wound inflicted by a sword can heal, but the wounds inflicted by words keep festering.

You may have experienced this in your life... where you harbored a hurtful comment made to you, and replayed it in your mind.

Being spontaneous is good, but being rash is not good. Pause and reflect before everything you say, and it will make a huge difference in your life.
