When Giani Sukha Singh first arrived in England he noticed that a majority of Sikh Gurdwaras catered only to the needs of the older generation, he felt that the youngsters had been left out. That’s why he created the Sikh Naujawan Academy (SNA) camps, to teach youngsters about Sikh values. The SNA camps have been so popular that many more have opened up and now 1,600 children are inspired through the camps every year. SNA is made up of volunteers from all walks of life, many are children, students, and just people who are interested in helping their community.
“The Sangat is so beautiful here, it’s just brilliant, when we all sit and practice kirtan I feel like I’m experiencing God.”
