I Can Wear a Turban Too
Written by 13 year old Ishnoor Kaur from Dubai, UAE
When the family is pressuring her brother to wear a turban, a young Sikh girl asks why she can’t wear one as well. In the end, the brother finds unexpected inspiration where others had failed to provide it, through his sister, and they decide to walk Guru’s path together. It is very true to life story since there are more Kaurs standing up to wear turbans now when it has been commonly expected that only the males do. It is a message about equality and living as Guruji’s Sikh.
