Sikhi Awareness Month
Throughout the months of March and April, various universities and high school across Ontario and Quebec hosted Sikhi Awareness Days. Not only was the goal of these events to teach students, professors, and faculty members about Sikhism, but also to give them the opportunity to experience it.

Published on Apr 17, 2014 The University of Waterloo Sikh Students Association (SSA) with the help of the Sikh Youth Federation, the Baba Deep Singh Gatka Akhara, Sanjhi Rasoi and AVP Studios present to you Sikhi Awareness Day 2014, a day full of Turban tying, Gatka (Sikh martial art) and Langar (free community kitchen). With an overwhelming 1500m of Turban cloth tied on UWaterloo faculty and students and food for over 100 people, the day was a great success. Thanks to all those who came out.
